Glued to Vegas' side is exactly where Vegas wanted him to be. He was happy to have Pete in his arms, their legs tangled together. Soon, he hoped, Pete could drape across him without it being an issue. But for now, this was enough. Whatever he could get of Pete was enough. And yet never enough.
After years of working for the main family luxuries like this had been rare. So taking advantage of it? He was very ready for it. So he snuggled his way into being more comfortable and closed his eyes. It would be nice when Vegas was back to normal. Maybe that magic that Wen Qing had would help. He had no idea but he looked forward to it.
Being back to normal would be lovely. Being able to move without having to consciously think it through would be amazing. Of all the things Vegas took for granted, movement was the one he never thought he'd miss most. Vegas turned his head and nuzzled against Pete's hair.
Hearing those words are all he needs to start drifting off again. Dreaming of Vegas and all the times they'll have together. It's honestly a silly dream that is just them having a cute date at some cafe but that was just because he'd watched way too many romantic shows with Tankhun when he'd been his bodyguard.
Still, it was nice and made him smile in his sleep. Getting to be next to Vegas all the time now to sleep? Definitely the best.
It's only a little longer until Vegas drifted off to sleep. It wasn't aches and pains that kept him awake, but a simple, selfish desire to enjoy Pete laying as close to him as he possibly could. The way his face relaxed and that sweet smile. When he did finally fall asleep, it was the most restful he'd had in days.
